  • Comment: This item is delivered free via 2 day shipping if you are a Prime Member on Amazon. However, there is a major glitch with the delivery system on some Prime orders. Amazon utilized only UPS and FedEx for their 2 day delivery. So, they will not accept a PO Box as a delivery address. You must supply your street address. Having done so when I ordered this product I expected it to be delivered to my door by either UPS or FedEx. However, some person in charge of shipping at Amazon has decided to cut corners and use FedEx SmartPost for some deliveries. In case you are not familiar with SmartPost, it is a service that utilizes FedEx for pick up, however they then transfer to your local Post Office to do the actual delivery. If you are like one of the 10% in the country who do not take postal delivery at your street address you are pretty much SOL as the Post Office will label the package as undeliverable as addressed. Some Post Offices will actually try to match up the street address to the proper PO Box, however many packages get returned to Amazon as Undeliverable. Thus, Amazon gets stuck with the return shipping and either has to refund the purchase price or reship to an acceptable address. It is a very sloppy system.

    Amazon needs to add a field to your address listing indicating whether the supplied address is valid for postal delivery. If the address is not valid, PLEASE DO NOT SHIP VIA FedEx SMARTPOST or UPS MAIL INNOVATIONS. Both services rely on the Post Office to finalize delivery. My local Postmaster informed me that she gets shipments from Amazon via FedEx and UPS everyday that have addresses not valid for postal delivery. This is a problem.

    I did inform Amazon about this problem. My package was finally returned to them and I received an email informing me of the return and requesting that I verify my delivery address on their system. My delivery address is just fine if you use any courier sans Post Office.

    AMAZON - Please take care of this problem.

    Oh, by the way, this product would get 5 stars if it were not for the delivery fiasco.

  • Comment: For the price and quality, this is unbeatable. I've used other brands and some other scotch models, and these tapes are the best for such low price. They don't rip or tear easily as other tapes, and it's always easy to trace & separate the end of the tape from the roll due to its thickness.

  • Comment: I bought this by mistake when I ran out of 3850 packing tape; I just wasn't paying attention. This is certainly better than a lot of cheap packing tapes, but I was disappointed in the drop in quality from the 3850. This is thinner and not as clear.

    Of course, it's half the price of the 3850, and the difference in quality may not justify the increased cost for many, but it does for me.
